SERC brings together leading space debris mitigation facilities from around the world, contributing resources to address and ultimately remove the risk of space debris collision.  The research is focused at facilities which are collectively the best in the world, including optical tracking facilities at Mount Stromlo Observatory in Canberra, Australia, in Tokyo, Japan and in Santa Cruz, USA.  SERC research integrates and further develops independent global research programs which represent the state-of-the-art in space debris research.
